Love the look of those wheels. Generally I'm not a fan of the aftermarket wheels. I think GM normally does a real nice job, but those are tastefully done! Nice...

I always have a dashcam in my vehicles. This was just the other day.

Minor damage to the 1LE lip only, ceramic coat protected the paint.

Also, contrary to TXSSCU: I was side-swiped by another car in my nearly brand new 3500 dually years ago. The actual impact wasn't even on camera, but it DID show I was maintaining my lane. My insurance took one look at it and immediately declared I wasn't at fault.

Argh, pretty unfortunate, the pickup in the next lane bounced the board or whatever it was right into you. Glad to hear you had only minor damage.

(I'm on my 2nd 1LE splitter already, and it has a few small scuffs that I touched up with gloss black paint )

Yeah, I saw it a mile away but I thought "Oh, it's gonna stay there 2 lanes over...ok, maybe 1 lane over.....mother f-er...." lol. Nowhere to escape to, being rush hour and all.

It looks ok, you'd only notice the "damage" from up close. I'm going to buff it down with some compound and try to hit it with a satin clear coat. See how it comes out.

Sorry to hear about what happened...glad to hear you didn't get injured and the damage is minor.

I bought a dash cam after getting a large door ding/crease plus getting hit by someone who ran a red light.

Ah, it's all good. After quite a few new cars, I've learned that it's best to just get over this shit as soon as you can.

Sure, they declared you weren't at fault, but did they try to go after the other driver? My insurance chalked my little gravel incident as a "hit and run" and while they claimed I wasn't at fault, I still had to pay my "uninsured/underinsured" deductible, which was my point about dashcam videos. They aren't going to try to go after the other driver, even if you can provide them a license plate, (which in my case I did) as it's just cheaper for them to take your money and get it fixed. I would suspect that they would have also taken your word for it without dashcam footage and just chalked it up to "uninsured/underinsured".

Irregardless, (you troll me, I troll you. ) I feel a little safer with a dashcam. I wish I had good things to say about the Owlcam in my car, but I was trying to view footage the other day while it was parked, and it gave me an "overtemp" error the other day. If it can't handle 80 degree days, it's sure going to hate Texas summers...

Gave mine an alignment for a track day in a few weeks. I have a friend who owns a body shop so I get to use their hunter alignment rack. Kinda fun to get all nerdy on how close to perfect you can make things. I have the SPL rear arms/toe link so it makes things easier.
