Ambient air sensor
I only found one thread on this and there was no definitive answer. Can anyone tell me where the ambient air temperature sensor is on a 2016 SS?

I just went digging for this same information this past weekend. Was this the thread you read?

Yep...that’s the one. Did you ever find out where it is? It was after drinking in a bad rain that mine quit.

It’s inside one of the ducts / shrouds behind the front bumper cover... passenger side.

The outside temp sensor takes about 5 minutes before it starts to display current temp. That's a hold over from 5th gen, they worked in the same manner.

Yep, they take forever to register. I will say this though, a quick WOT pull helps them get there faster.

Mine doesn’t work at all. I’ve had the car for four years never had an issue. Now it quit, just two dashes where the numbers used to be. I changed the sensor today and still have the same problem. Between that, the mirror adjustment working intermittently, and my screen occasionally going black I’m thinking it might be time to get rd of this thing.
