Camaro 2.0 help/advice
What mods can I do to increase power. I read about an ECU tune, but I fear my engine won't last long if I tune it. Any recommendations for a tune? Any other mods beside a tune that will increase my hp and torque? I drive a turbo

Jacfab boost o lator is really good will get you 1-3 psi more of boost easy install, you will get cel if you drive hard on it cause ecu detects the recirculation valve but no harm to engine, holds boost longer too

Looking back and reflecting on everything I've done to my car engine wise, I would never do it again. My advice, keep the engine stock. Spend your money on the Chevy Performance Lowering kit, Chevy Performance Short Shifter, Mishimoto Cat-Back Exaust, SEMA Grille, Front Fascia Extension & the 1LE Rear Spoiler.

I did a tune first, and early on. Best bang for the buck hands down. (arguable the most risky mod)
If you don't want to tune, its very hard to argue with the performance of the Jacfab boost o lator VS other bolt ons.

I have installed is the following- Zzperformance catless down pipe, Zzperformance large throttle body,zzp large charge pipes, custom full exhaust with quad tips , Zzperformance cold air intake.... Not sure what to do next , I'm trying to get more HP any advice

I agree with Cooper, a tune is the best bang for your buck. Followed by the boost-o-lator or catless downpipe. I have the above listed mods injen intake, larger TB, electric cutout, magnaflow mufflers and on nt555 g2s.

I third that a tune is your best bet coupled with the JacFab Boost-o-lator but you will need to ask yourself hard questions before you tune. Do you have alternate transportation? are you willing to void your warranty? Are you building a daily driver that you want to be reliable or are you building a daily driver with racing in mind. I'm not trying to dissuade you from getting a tune at all. These are all second thought questions some of us have. JacFab is working on a no-tune Boost-o-lator sooner or later and getting a tune has major advantages and disadvantages in other areas. Finding a tune and tuner you trust is also a huge undertaking and you should absolutely 100% take your time and ask many many questions if you decide to tune and ask those questions on here and to the tuners directly. I have the ZZP catted downpipe, jacfab big mouth 72MM TB and CP, Injen Open Intake and a Tune with Toyo Proxes TQs and i love how my car feels and drives and I'll soon have the ZZP FMIC and JacFab Boost-o-lator installed on E85 for race season. My advice if you have someone nearby who has similar mods and a tune meetup and see what you think most of us are more then willing to help each other out. Another middle ground option is if you have the A8 try the TCM tune first this advice is twofold on one end you aren't tuning your ECM so in theory the only thing voided would be your transmission and it will allow you to mess with shifting and how the car feels when you drive. An ECM tune only on your mods done right will yield some decent WHP/WTQ and be safe but I'd start with the TCM if i had to do it all over again and then later on tune my ECM.

a tune should definitely be your next upgrade. when tuned properly, you will not find any decrease in longevity, or reliability. a good, proper tune (while it may not squeeze every last single HP possible out of the car) is completely safe (assuming you dont make a major changes without tuning updates, or run fuel you werent tuned for etc)
a tune is going to be the biggest bang for your buck mod by a long shot. |

What up, so apparently my check engine light turned on and then on the screen it popped us saying lost of power then my car turned off. So I thought what if I unplug the battery give it a minute and plug again and it worked for a bit then my engine light turned on and back to the sluggish driving, couldn't go pass 40mph.
