That's my question.

I think it is because they want to preserve it for the ZLE, as it is the single biggest difference in handling over other models. Sure the DSSV's are more track focused over the MRC, but the single biggest difference in handling are those solid bushings.

I think there is a downside, although slight. I've experienced more noise on some of the grooved roads around here. It seems to be a trend for new concrete to groove them in the same direction as the roadway. With the G3F1 tires it is quite loud, it is louder now on some, but not all of the tollways. I don't know why it is on some roads and not all......must be a frequency thing.

If I go with the GM 1LE solid rear cradle bushings and am not equipped to install myself, should I look to Chevy Performance Dealer for install or private shop. I'm in SoCal if anyone has suggestions.

IMO a dealer, because if they mess up, they'll fix it and the rate will be fixed no matter how long it really takes them

It can be done on a Quick Jack, a little finagaling is required to get the front braces torqued up though. I did loosen the front brace bolts before lifting the car.
Someone asked about the alignment bolts: they are not touched during the bushing swap, they are furnished only because an alignment should be done after.
I used a two arm gear puller to get the rubber bushings out. No heat was required. super simple Video here:
So I started the GMPP bushing swap and I had to definitely had to drop the cradle but I kept it under the car so I didn't disconnect the cooling lines.

I used the same method to remove rubber bushings but the front bushing didn't want to come out without heat. The rear came out with no heat.

If you find any SoCal recommendations let me know. I have mine and was going to do it myself... I just don't know if I feel like it.

All I can say is GM dealby me wanted between $1500 - $1800 for labor to install. I sent them to hell and started doing it myself.

It's not a 2hr install, and at 120-150 an hour can easily get up there.

You can definitely DIY it's not that difficult but if you just started doing oil changes yourself it's a little bit of the deep end.

Yes not a beginners project.

Sorry, but the DSSV's are a huge leap in terms of handling over the MRC. Solid cradle bushings are somewhat noticeable, but the DSSV's are a whole other league.

That's a good deal, I wished I lived near you! I'd much rather pay a few hundred to get this done but with some quotes over $1k figure it's a DIY project for sure.

I plan on getting my 1LE kit in by AutoX season, recently got the eLSD AutoX flash, I figure the solid bushings + eLSD tune ought to be a lot of fun. Still undecided on wheels/tires, tbh seems like a ton of cash for a 315/18 square setup and I should just stick to using OEM... I'm just not that competitive, lol.

Agree, MRC is amazing but spring rates are low for track damper settings, it's a compromise for sure.
