How can I find out which dealers can do this service . I have the v6 and I’m at 50,000 miles and I have been getting it since 2017. The service manager drove the car back in 2017 and said it was normal for it to shudder while on 4 cyl. I’m in meridian now working and the only dealer around here is a smaller dealer, Nelson Hall.

So for the promised update: it’s been 200 miles since I got the new flush (with the new fluid) done, and still no shudder so far.

Went to a local dealer here and was told to bring it in for a transmission flush on Wednesday.

I think I'm going to wait until the summer and see what everyone thinks of the new flush. If the reviews are good then I'll have mine done. If not might be time to trade it.

Anyone got this done with expired bumber to bumper warranty? I have 40,xxx on my car and it's still under powertrain warranty. I took it on Friday, the technician said that the A8 does shift roughly and it's normal. I can't say if I'm experiencing shaddering, but 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are really rough, the downshifts are not smooth too (like when stopping at a stop sign). What do you guys think? Anyone experiencing same issues?

Find another dealer if he's feeding you a line of crap about,"the A8 does shift roughly and it's normal". Seriously.

I'm something like 400 miles since the new flush. Still all good here so far also.

I'm 1500 miles since the flush with the old fluid with no issues but I fully expect it to come back. This was my second flush. It took about 6000 miles to come back.

Glad to hear yours is doing well. Please update us as you get some more miles. I'm still hoping to get this done to fix mine once and for all.

Looks like I managed to get a car with every issue the Camaro can have, lol. First had the NPP rattle, fought to get it fixed (though not fixed entirely). Then a failed lifter, fought for weeks to get them to hear it, they kept telling me it was oil pumps, injectors, etc. Finally they tore it apart and lifter #3 was bad and was told it would have damaged the cam if it was not fixed. Same time had the rear diff fluid flushed (another fight) which fixed the groan.

As for the tranny, I frequently experience the “lurch” shifting between P and D, and from 1-2 when cold. Very annoying because it snaps your head forward and does not inspire confidence. I know it will be impossible to get my local dealer to replicate and/or acknowledge the problem, so I guess I’ll have to wait till it’s REALLY bad. Dad has an auto C7 that is having the shudder issue, probably just a matter of time for me too (great genes, ha). I’m at about 4500 miles.

I have the P to D lurch once in a while too, I usually let my car warm up a couple extra mins and it typically doesn't do it then.

My bet is this "lurch" occurs while the RPMs are still above 1000 rpm. The engine hasn't settled into idle yet.

Also, cold fluid shifts are not a reason for a dealer visit. If the shifts remain hard and "jerky" when the trans is at temp, then it's cause for concern.
