Why do some 1LT's have no amp?
I can't find any information on why there are some 1LT's with no amp similar to 1LE models. Every 1LT I have seen other than mine has the non-bose amp in the trunk. Mine has no amp at all. What are the spec difference between models that have the amp and those that don't?

Aren't all the radio amps in the dash to the right of the glove box?

Supposedly non-bose packages minus the 1LE are supposed to come with an external amp in the trunk with horizontal fins. I have friends with 1LTs and was given a 1LT to drive as a loaner once and they all had the amp in the back and had noticeable difference in sound. But mine just has an empty spot where the amp would go

Have you compared the year model? You have a 2016, if all the other 1LT that you have driven are 2017&up, maybe it can be because 2016 didn't have one? I'd check with other 2016 1LT and maybe with you dealer.
