You should always buy the smaller displacement engine with less power and torque!

nobody asked which one was faster nor more expensive the SS is both of those. the thing is the V6 is a fantastic car that's even better balanced then the more front-heavy SS. and it's quite fast for what it is. the V6 seems to be quite good in the snow the V8 could be as well I love my V6 I would buy it again. Get whatever one you like best op after you drive them both. there's definitely no shame this Gen in getting the V6. if you do get it try to get it with the NPP exhaust sounds fantastic. Edit...now I will throw out there that you should get it with the manual transmission be a V6 V8 or Turbo 4 get the manual |

Everyone should get the right car for THEM. If you want a V8, get a V8. If you want a V6 or a V4, then get one. Get whichever transmission is right for you as well. Do not ask what engine or transmission you should get, or chances are you will be urged to get whatever the person doing the urging, has! It’s not rocket science. People like their own rides, so they will steer others the same way. That all being said, I would never buy a Camaro without a V8. I don’t even pay attention to a Camaro, or any other muscle/sports car, without a V8. That is just me, though. I understand that they have their place. There’s a car for everyone out there! 👍🏻

absolutely man I agree and I respect what you're saying I feel the exact same way about somebody who buys an automatic in a sports car. I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole but to each their own and a car for everyone |

I was going to buy a 4 banger but they were delayed in production. So I rolled a SS. I really wanted to play with stripes (my hobby) and some mods. Did not care about ultimate power (still don't). Manual is what I wanted and once again did not care which would be faster (figured it would be an auto). I've used the HP in my SS for a slap down just one time in 14,500 miles and three sets of rear tires ( I practice alot). Granted the slap down was a Hellcat (he blew the tires away) and was well worth it. But I think I would have been just as happy with a bolt on turbo 4 a good shifter (best mod I ever did) and looking for R/T Challengers.. If you are worried about such small change, I'm going to honest with you, you should stick with what you have. I hope I don't sound mean, I giving you good advice. If you were not sweating $5000 depreciation, bigger loan and insurance, had a few grand to mod sure get the SS. The "fun" of the car is relative. The turbo 4 is just as fast as my orginal 69 Z/28 and handels much better.

I didn’t set out to buy a Camero. I was after a 4 seat convertible that got a minimum of 30 mpg. I was looking at the 2 series bmw an Audi and a Mini when I saw the Camaro. I also looked at a mustang but thought the interior was too cheap looking and didn’t like the way it drove. In the end it was between the Camero 2lt a8 4T or the bmw 2 series with a similar drive train The camaro was less expensive then the BMW (after 20% discount) and was more fun to drive. It also doesn’t look as boring as all the other euro sedans In the parking lot. Never really considered the v8 or the v6 |
