If you are off on your own, paying all your own bills, and only call mommy and daddy to say hello then that's great. My hat goes off to you. However, I assure you, you would be in the minority there.

This is why I started asking older people if mom and dad bought them their cars.

WTF does that mean lol. I've had a too few many beers, so I'd better just get off here. V6s I have no problem with parents buying anyways. Homeboy above is rolling around in a ZL1 though. WTF.....

In defense of people now days living at home in their 20s , things now days cost waaayyyy more than they did for you "old" guys back in the day when it was a lot easier to own a car and pay your own bills. I say as long as some one is working and paying rent, paying for their car, groceries with their parents etc. than they are doing just fine for themselves in today's world. There is no point in being dirt poor if don't have to be

Yes.

Don't get me wrong, the ZL1 is a bad ass machine. I don't blame you. I drool everytime I see one, but I "settled" for a 2SS. You could be using this time to get waaaay ahead. Good luck to you though, either way.

And laughed my ass off with you referring to back in your days. I JUST turned 30 lol. And I must admit it's pretty nice. Own house and financial/job security is pretty damn nice. You should look forward to it.

It goes like this, I made far better choices or have had better luck then people twice my age, and decided to indulge, I pay my obligations and live independent just like anyone else, I just happen to be young. I could easily have afforded a bloody ZL1, but I have other things (College) that my money is going toward.

So when an "adult" asks me, another adult (22) which parent bought my car, I ask them which parent bought theirs, it's only fair. You were probably busting his chops but that strikes a chord with me because I deal with it often.

Gonna have to learn to brush stuff like that off man. Happens a lot in one form or another. Hell I've even heard that and I think "I'm 30 lol". Just laugh at it and move on.

These "kids" need to learn that having older friends could help steer them true, because we all know, that at any age, you're going to have good influences and bad influences on you from your friends.

Haha i dunno bout your area but in new england the older guys are more apt to encourage troubling behavior. That being said i see a ton of younger kids driving camaro's the club meets are hit or miss my fiance doesn't like to talk cars so why she insists on coming with me is anyones guess i think she thinks i'm gonna go out drinkin with the old guys. She's probably not far off sometimes. i'm only 29 and i see both sides of this arguement but if you can afford your car enjoy it and let the h8rs h8.
