No TUNE whatsoever. We were thinking the boost increase may be from the added airflow. GM's ECM's work like a quantum computer in these cars... May also be from the VTC aswell because the Throttle now opens instantly instead of slow and lagged.

That's about 345 hp at the crank.

Your assuming the usual parasitic drivetrain loss I don't think we have that same loss the 5th Gen had I think it's closer to a 10 to 12% loss. Either way i'm stoked about it especially seeing how small the turbo is but that boost is way up there.

I've always known that with mods you need a tune to get the most out of them. Unless these Camaros have super compures that are able to adgust to the aftermarket parts .

Oh they have super computers I did an in-depth write up of todays events and about the detuning assumption me and the tuner have with the higher gears.

If the stock V8 6th gen dynoed 443 100% stock, that is all the proof i need to say the dyno is reading high. Like others have said, go to the track and get dome numbers there. My trap speed makes perfect sense for where i trapped, 410rwhp/424rwtq. I feel mine are even a bit high.

Not trying to rain on your parade, just giving some input before you line uo next to someone and it doesnt perform like the dyno numbers would imply. As long as you keep using the same dyno though, it's being used for what it should be: a tuning tool. Great for comparisons on adding parts, and seeing gains from tuning.

Keep up the good work!

He had an M6 V8 SS not the A8. This may very well be why his numbers were higher then yours. I'm not seeing you as raining on my parade but we had 5 other 5th Gens there 2 bone stock aside from an intake, two cammed and 1 ZL1 and their numbers lined up perfectly with what other tuners had on their dynos. Are my numbers high to me it seemed a bit high and do I understand your point being made about on the track I absolutely do and respect and agree with your judgement. Mostly using this as a mod basis for my tune in the spring. What I can say is the two Tuned VW GTI's that showed up for the dyno day quickly left after I ran the dyno without a tune with WTF looks on their faces. I did also elaborate on the higher gear detuning which would no doubt effect real world racing at a dragstrip.

I'd have to agree that 443hp for a stock LT1 seems optimistic. Too bad I didn't get to try mine out on that dyno. My stock car ran 12.06@114 in the 1/4 mile, very similar to BBP's, so it would have been a pretty decent comparison.

Can't remember the two awesome guys from Massachusetts with the Cammed V8's but they put down 462 and 471RWHP which is pretty well right in line with most every other dyno.

I'll put it to you this way, the ATS with the LTG competes against the BMW 328i which has a 2.0T rated by BMW at 240hp. But that's a typical BMW underrate since the engine is not SAE rated. I have seen multiple dynos of that motor make 240rwhp. So if the LTG really made 275hp at the wheels it would spank the 328i. But that is not the case:

MT H2H:
ATS - 14.4@96mph
328i- 14.1@98mph

Bout the same difference 0-60.

A 1/4 mile test will be a much more accurate result than a dyno any day. And while I know none of us doubt that's what the dyno read, the facts around the engine don't add up. Also the stock LT1 making 443rwhp is another nail in the confin. No one else has lost 12hp in a M6 on this forum. If you are making that much at the wheels, you should be deep into the 13s and running down 5.7L Hemi cars. Hopefully we will get some more LTG owners to dyno.

Good read here too:
