Why Lower When You Can Raise?
Nice shot of an (nearly?) airborne 1LE...
Photographers don't seem to frequent this area of the Nurburgring, but luck would have it yesterday. Note this is under braking into a 3rd gear hard right hander - the ABS seems to be ok with it! Quite a thrill...1 of 3 times you feel the car get light during a lap. Obviously unique for a car to intentionally jump with no damage...this track works the suspension! Only other place I've been that does something similar is Cadwell Park in UK...they have one roller hill that is quite famous - but much slower speeds and under acceleration.

Is this at Flugplatz? You could very well have been airborne but the cars shadow is keeping you from seeing light under the RF tire.
On day I'll get over there and drive it.

Looks like Flugplatz to me, I was there yesterday with my buddy in his GT350 and even taking it really easy because the track was a bit damp we caught a bit of air at Flugplatz!

They actually lowered the rise in the road of the Flugplatz (German for "flight place") forty years ago.

Uncle Sam: Some incredible shots - don't know how they did it back then...
That is the corner - it seems high risk as you go right into hard right - squawking the tires thru the slightly banked corner. Quite the feeling of accomplishment!

Tim M,
You are living my dream! Driving the Ring … and Spa … I did drive the Ring on "GP Legends 67," though. |

Uncle Sam: It is a treat - a bit of an offset from stateside home. I've not had a chance at Spa...I'd like to though!

tmalaquin: No racing during tourist drives...just individual enjoyment. Always a mix of cars - high end to low end. Unfortunate the 'socializing' parking lots are closed currently so all are encouraged to either drive or leave.
My bridge to gantry time was a 7:58. Previous best is 7:53 (no blower)...neither are a good representation of what these cars can do. I'd feel comfortable hitting 7:30's at my limited skill level..maybe in another 10 laps and clear track.
