Had the day off yesterday, so I hoped in the Camaro and took back roads down to Throttlestop. It's a consignment and museum place here in Elkhart Lake WI. If you are in WI and have never been to this place it's pretty cool. Back roads Google Maps took me on were some pretty fun roads I'd never been on yet. Was a beautiful day for a cruise. Throttlestop is a rich mans place.

Have to head out to Wausau today, so I'll have Maps take me on some back roads over there as well. Going to be another nice day for a cruise today.

I did contact my local Chevy dealer for a black ground effects kit. They are on back order. He said there is only 5 listed in the entire US right now. He said if I really wanted one he could "try" to get one of those 5.

Nothing. Car needs to be detailed soooo badly it's not funny. Did a quick offer on Vroom for the car, and they gave me $35k as a price. 2k less than I paid for it new. Pretty tempting. PREEEETTY tempting. Would make a nice down payment on a ZL1.

I had to pull the trigger with my, though it wasn't with Vroom. I thought about it for weeks and it still almost killed me. How many miles on yours? I sold is for nearly $40k. '17 2SS w/ ~14k miles, 6 speed.

That does look like a neat place. I may have to check that out next year when the weather gets warm again. Looks to be a few cool bars on/near the lake there as well. Wausau is getting fairly close to home, you should swing by.

How long did it take for your Xpel install. Mine is taking 4 days. Are you still happy with the install? Did you put a ceramic coat on top of it?

Just over 50k at this point. Love taking it from TN to MA whenever I make the trip (13+ hours straight) because it's so much fun to drive, just means the car is getting 2k miles popped on it each time. But I just can't resist. So probably 12-15k of that is that trip alone. Then road trips through the smokies and the tail of the dragon... just too much fun to let it sit.

That really isn't horrible mileage considering the year and the fact that you're down south (better weather throughout the year). My car just had stupidly low mileage for the year when I had purchased it. It came from the Detroit area, retired lease, and I believe it was a 2nd/3rd/4th car for someone...so it basically spent it's life in the garage. If people have the luxury of being able to profit on a car, possibly sit without for a bit, then you can purchase another as you please.

Boy do I love TN. The smokies are a great place to be, though I love anything to do with mountains. I had the bike down on the Dragon in mid-August. It is always a good time.

Mine I got new for 37 and had to go to Kentucky for it. The used one I looked at here was 35 with 15k on it and needed tires. Everything was like that locally at the time. The dealer here that I'd bought 3 cars from, I shoed them the car on the lot in KY and they kinda scoffed and said it was a bait and switch. Disappointing that they wouldn't do anything to look into a transfer or something. Sorted financing on my own, rode with a check and my 2010 2LT, and drove back home. 15 miles on the car and went through construction and the semi next to me kicked up rocks. Chips on the first day. lol

Yeah some gorgeous roads down here. My wife and I's first date was a Camaro/Firebird show and a trip down the Tail. Still have to do a Blue Ridge Parkway weekend trip with her since she wants to cross that one off too.

I washed and waxed the car thoroughly this past weekend and noted the spot in the picture on my trunk. It felt like it was stuck to the clear coat/melted on - I couldn’t get it off.

Anyone have any advice?

It took four days to install. I didn’t see a benefit in ceramic since everything but the roof, trunk lid and rear bumper is covered in Xpel.

This is the fourth car I’ve had Xpel on and I’m very happy with how it holds up to daily driving in four seasons. My front fascia is going to get reapplied soon as there was a defect that didn’t settle after time. My installer guarantees a clean install

I had etched spots that wouldn’t come off until this
