ZL1 1LE brake light came today.....Like others have said, longest part was scrubbing off the old adhesive. I ended up going through the trunk to loosen the brackets, took an additional 5 minutes.

did mine as well tonight. The left most clip caught the edge of the hole wouldn't let go. After applying a bit of brute force it bent enough to let go.

Definitely worth it though.

How did you get under the light to break the seal. I cant get under it

A local upholsterer did it and the armrest for me.

I just used a plastic trim tool and worked my way around it, occasionally pulling on the light to see where it was still holding.

Same here. Slow and methodical. Didn't need to get inside the trunk. Nice to know I could have if necessary.

Camaro activities for today
1. Mounted my license plate
2. Replaced 3rd brake light with ZL1 brake light
3. Ordered Powerstop Z26 pads (tired of the dust)....

Installed the Diode Dynamics LED side lights. I think the smoked lens looks good with the silver car and the gray wheels. Gave it a good rinceless wash also.
