HP Tuners - 2016 is available!

http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?55518

98-02 Camaro 5.7 2 6
97-02 Camaro 3.8 2 6
10-15 Camaro 6.2, 7.0 2 12
16 Camaro 6.2, 7.0 2 N/A
10-14 Camaro 3.6 2 12

Now I should expect the V6 not too far off!

Does this program save the "stock" so if we do stuff, we can revert it back 100% stock before going to the dealer?

You can put the ECM back to stock but the dealer will be able to see that the ECM had been reprogrammed with a non-factory calibration if they go looking. If you suffer a drivetrain failure GM will likely request the dealer take a look before honoring a warranty claim.

That's good. I'm glad I can use my device for other cars besides my cobalt ss.

I've used hptuners on my 4th gens and on my HHR SS. It's really great software. Very large learning curve though. i think I'm still too nervous to mess with the computer due to warranty at the moment. I've already had several repairs made to my car including software updates. I'm not sure if a tune would interfere with the updates to the touchscreen software but I think I'll at least wait a little longer before diving in

Updates to infotainment is BCM. Tuning the engine is ECM. Two different animals. I agree though, it's not a good idea to mess with the tune in case you have power train issues, it will be an issue.

the site shows they do support 3.6 now but only shows 17 not 16. I already own the software and have 4 licenses left so I plan on trying to read it this weekend.

Do a read of the ECM, get your VCM Suite info log ctrl-I, and send them both to support@hptuners.com they will gladly add your car to the support menu is not already supported.

Ted.

17+ has a new security pin lock that takes more time and effort to unlock the ECM. Thus more work more money involved.

When the 16 was first added that was more credits too. Early adopter tax.

Would there be any issues with using this, and flashing that so as to avoid voiding the warranty? I figure I could just swap the original ECM back in if I need to take the care in for servicing.

You can not swap ECMs without a GM MDI Linked to sync all the modules in the car.
