Help w method of defrosting 6 gens!

I need to know if GM was ever going to recall that piece in the venting system that seems to let moisture stay inside the 6 gens. They need to because it's annoying and can't wait until colder weather. Anyone have a diy on this?

People have reported that it continues to fog up even after doing the GM recommended fix so many people have said forget it because it requires removing the windshield.

You can try putting a mat over the front vent but other than that its just something you have to live with.

+1 Kirk.

Alternatives: Set to 74F to reduce exterior condensation, or get one of these and throw it up over the vent on muggy days.

The problem was outside condensation, not inside. Specifically the working theory was foam was affixed to the defrost duct in such a way it prevented the closing baffle from making a good seal. On hot, humid days with the A/C running, cold air would leak around the baffle and cool the lower windshield, causing condensate to form on the exterior. The "fix" I read about was to try to go in from the top of the duct and try to either remove the obstructing foam, or add more to block the leak. Access and visualizing the problem are the obvious issues.
For my occasional trouble with this, I find a windshield wiper swipe to be adequate.

A windshield wipe does indeed remove the condensation for me. It’s annoying, but it works.
