what do we know about the LT1

Like the post said what do we know, Its still has the same 4.4" bore spacing from day one of all small blocks, i happen to like that, it comes with the oil-spraying jets on the underside of the piston and cylinder walls, this came from the LS9 block, This will help cool the pistons.


Lots more good things, any one want to post what they know.

We know they have already stroked it to 416 CI added a supercharger and made great hp in the vette.

Glad the Vette guys get the engine first by the time we get our cars they will have spent some big money and research on this engine.

Maybe this is too much information hate the anticipation of waiting for the new camaro.

Direct injection with hi pressure cam driven pump that sits in the valley.



Pistons n rods have room for DI shenanigans (vs ls3):




Heads have the intake & exhast valves reversed from LS3
