Wait until the warranty expires for performance. It’s what I’m doing. All my mods have been cosmetic so far and I’m loving it

Do you daily drive and track your car or is it a daily driver solely and or is it a garage queen that doesn't see inclement weather? Performance is always fun but if it's your daily driver none track weekend show and cruise thing go cosmetic until your warranty expires. If your racing and or tracking the car performance is a huge yes.

Do cosmetic first. Then when you have driven it for awhile or are starting to get bored, mod the performance and it will feel like you have a whole new car!

With the list of proposed mods/upgrades, I am also questioning the economics. Why not trade the 2SS for a ZL1? I would like to see the cost comparison.

Cosmetic now, however I would consider wheels as performance go for something lighter, improved ride handling and looks. When warranty doesn't matter I would skip the cams , rods etc just go centrifugal blower for 550 hp reliable install no brainer and probably cheaper good luck and have fun

Performance. Life’s too short. Just make sure you have some coin saved up in case something does break. But with your relatively conservative performance mod list, I wouldn’t be too worried.

Since I could only choose one or the other, I chose cosmetic.
However, there are performance mods that you can do that would not be an issue, such as the exhaust, intake, tires/rims, etc... That being said, if you are even considering dropping in a new motor, just go get a ZL1 and call it a day. You'll be happier and less hassle...

So I agree with most individuals, but on my end since day 1 I knew warranty wasn’t going to bother me, I’m in love with the cammed v8 sound, in my opinion it’s worth every penny spent. But at the same time I wouldn’t do a 416, if anything I’d get a spare 376 Incase this one blew up which is what I’m doing. Just plan your build out for the long run, right now all i need to do is port and polish the stock beads, get a MSD intake and I’m going to get that porter as wel, also a ported throttle body and at that point I’ll be FBO all motor ofcourse. Afterwards I’m going to turn to a new driveshaft and axles then get a rotary assembly for the procharger. It’s an addiction but just make sure if you go Performance that you have a strategy to it, I like cosmetics as it definitely makes the car look nicer but I also believe their is nothing needed to change on the 1LE so I haven’t bothered other then a drag pack.
Again just my 2 cents.
