The Guy driving the A10 ZL1 (the OP I believe) was definitely a better and more aggressive driver than the ZL1 1LE driver.
Good video though. Where in Texas is this track?

What's even more impressive is the fact that, as I recall, the OP drives with one hand.
Kudos!

That first shot in the beginning, the ZL1 1LE looks flatter in the turns. However that could be due to aggressive or lack of aggressive driving.

The Carbotech brake pads could make the difference with everything else equal but it's not so it's hard to judge but pads can make a noticeable difference. If anything it could show how important track pad are but then again it could be the drivers. Good to see a ZL

Great video, the ZL1 1LE driver starts speeding up when you are in the lead. I bet both drivers learned a bunch. Thanks for sharing.

Great driving RSFR, you really beat the ZL1 1LE with your ZL1 A10. even that you were short on tires compared to his wider track tires.

It has been my contention that the reason the 1LE seems so much faster than a ZL1 on track is mostly because of the difference in tires. Not because of the suspension, or aero, or whatever. I know this wasn't a perfect test to conclusively prove that, but I feel like it helps solidify my guesses. It was also a lot of fun to make the vid. |

While I have no doubt that the DSSV shocks on the ZLE are a little better performing when it comes to triple digit speed and track work, the MRC is no slouch either and from a car control standpoint, I believe the MRC can keep pace with the DSSV shocks, the difference is probably more of driver confidence from the faster acting DSSV that it give the driver. I am not sure about aero though and how much that plays into it, I have never driven a car with aero at speed to know what kind of effect it has. In the end as long as your suspension/bushing set can handle the increased grip from stickier tires, the biggest difference can be related to the avail. grip of tires, as it's the only thing in contact with the road.

I have aero coming and will see what kind of difference it makes. I have a pretty good baseline now around that track and can see what kind of difference parts make. Also shooting to install the GM solid rear bushing kit in the Spring sometime. |

Have you swapped cars and driven both on track? Would love to get feedback on the MRC VS DSSV as far as composure and body/chassis control between the two.
