I also had a Mazaspeed 6. That was a pretty rare car, I never saw another one on the road. The Mazdaspeed 3 was pretty popular. I really liked my Speed6 as an all-arounder, 4 doors, sporty, awd and a manual and it looked pretty good.

1969 Camaro blueprinted 327/350. Hugger Orange, 4.10s, turbo 350 tranny. Sweetest sounding car I ever heard.
1979 Camaro Z-28. L82 cam, headers, Holly 650. functional NACA ram air. Surprised a whole lot of early muscle. 2005 Pontiac GTO Vengeance Racing built engine, 4.10 rear end, pedders track II suspension, 6 speed. Handled like a C6 Vette and nearly as fast as my ZE. I left out the day to day stuff, mostly trucks and currently a 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport 6 speed.

I would love to hear the story about how you went from - GT3RS to ZL1 (maybe the quick switch back to ZR1 explains it?) - Viper GT to a ZL1 1LE Seems like a hell of a change

The LS series motors are fantastic on the FD RX7 because it allows the car to maintain it’s 50/50 weight distribution. The rotary engine with turbos and components weigh the same as an LS V8. The Mazdaspeed 6 is one car I regretted getting rid of. It was way ahead of its time and was also AWD! When Mazda makes performance cars, which isn’t often, they are usually pretty good. |

I am up over 150, I have been in my current residence for 10 years, my neighbor just bought her second car, I have had 18 in that period of time. To many to list. My favs were the 3 911's and the Macan. In 1983 I bought several cars from a dealer and they gave me "Customer of the Year" plaque.

Here's my cars over the last several years, with the ZL1 being the most current. Each has a kinda special significance to me. The 03 Cobra was the first car I got that really showed me what a powerful car was, after having a 98 V6 Stang prior. I got it when I was 20 years old and it was a dream car for me at the time. The C6Z was a true dream car for me because I thought I'd never be able to afford it. I.had my Cobra for 7 years and had pictures of the Z06 taped up at my old job. I eventually changed jobs and that dream became reality. Then came the dropped valve plague. Never happened to me but I was always scared it would. And it was at a time when no one was really sure what the real fix was and GM never seemed to even acknowledge it. The 13 GT500 was next. It was special since the 662hp rating was mind blowing at the time for a "pony" car. It was fun but damn sketchy trying to put that power down. I sold it after about 6 months, and lost only $400. The 14 Stingray was my first ever brand new car. I was able to spec it and got a $6000 discount through work, which was phenomenal since the C7 with Z51 package was super hot at that time. Then the wife got preggo with our 1st child. I panicked thinking I would have no time for a Corvette, sold it and was just gonna drive my beater for a while. That lasted about a month before I made my biggest car buying mistake ever. That black BMW 428i Gran Coupe. I thought it would be a compromise for me. It wasn't. I kept it for less than 2 months and sold to another BMW dealer. Worst loss ever. That same day I stopped by a Dodge dealer on the way home to see what the Hellcats were all about, since they had several in stock. Next thing I know, I'm signing papers buying a 2016 Hellcat. We had just brought our newborn daughter home that same week. At that point it was solidified to me that my wife was really patient. I have nothing bad to say about the Hellcat. It is a freaking rowdy machine. But for some reason when I started to see more ZL1's and hear about their performance, I was screwed. At a time when the 10's were scarce, I drove 11 hours in the Hellcat, traded it in, and came back home with the ZL1. And now it seems this car is a winner for some reason. I have more miles on it than I've put on one of my fun cars since the Z06.
