I have it on my '12 SRX, I shut it off, really have no need for it, I guess it would come in handy if you had a tight interior to get in and out of. It is like the reverse backup mirror settings in the Caddy as well, when you backup the mirrors rotate downward, I find this very hard to get used to, I shut that off as well, doesn't appeal to me.

Turned that off on my 328i too. I guess it comes in handy for parallel parking, but when I'm backing out of a parking space or driveway.

I adjusted my 2nd setting with the mirrors down so I can see when I park. I back in(habit), and w/out those mirrors down you cant see SQUAT!

I get that it's hard to get in and out of, but what's the difference if the steering column adjustment is electric or manual? They both move the same distance/area. Electric adjustment for that is really a frivolous option. In fact it moves a lot slower than you can adjust it manually.

True. Not hard. I just cant wrap my mind around a "half" power memory seating system. Guess Ive been spoilt by Corvettes.

More to do with the fact you wouldn't have to fiddle with it an extra few secs to get the wheel back in the same position every time you got in.

Definitely a convenience item, not necessity.

There are four buttons that control seat memory. Unfortunately I can't read what they are on any of the pictures I took at the reveal or at CamaroFest.
I believe they are the same as on my wifes ATS and the forward button will move the seat back. You can also set it to move the seat back in an auto mode in the control menus. ie: When you shut the car off or when you open the door.

With 4 button, one will be a memory or set button, 2 or 3 settings to save? Or will the 4th button be something else?

Good info on the auto back setting.
