Factory PDR
I am pretty sure the answer is no but I thought I would ask. Has anyone added the PDR to a car that did not have it from the factory. The ZLE's I have looked at all have had it but I have a good deal lined up on one that does not. You would have to add the camera and flash the infotainment at a min but not sure what else. Again, I do not think it is possible but wanted to see if anyone had tried.
Thanks in advance. |

I don't know about the ZL1, but I know it cant be added in the C7 Corvette. When I went researching the possibility, Corvettes w/o the PDR are missing vital components and connections to make it all work. So I am going to assume, both being GM products the case holds true for the ZL1.
I would recommend that if you can swing the $1.3K upgrade, get the car with it. The camera is not as good as a GoPro, but IMHO it was well worth it, especially if you are going to track the car. On a side note, I was told the MY20 has an upgraded HD PDR camera. Maybe someone could confirm that. |

I’d find a car that has it. It’s a really cool feature.

If you google search it I found it looks like it can be done. But, it is a pain in the ass and $$$.

Probably more that the 1.3K you would pay to buy one with it.

I just took a look at the installing a PDR thread on the forum. Man you are going to have to be an electrical wizard and deep pockets to make that conversion happen. Either way you go, you are going to love the ZL-1. Good luck.

Me and another guy here on the forum did it.
it wasnt that expensive, but it would be cheaper to have bought the car with it for sure. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=527969
