Plx Kiwi 3, Blue Driver Bluetooth and other obd2 scanners

Does anyone have experience with any of these Bluetooth obd2 scanners.?

Interested how effectively they monitor parameters like afr, iats, etc. zzp sells the plx kiwi 3 but the blue driver branded one seems more revered by people on amazon . Any insight is appreciated

I've been using the Torque App on my phone with a OBD2Bluetooth plugin they dont 100% have everything for the 2016+ camaros but I've yet to come across any issues. If anything it was a wicked cheap alternative to buying a scan tool and having to deal with the stealership techs for 2 hours.

I tried using the AutoMeter Dashlink OBD2 scanner and software combo. Aside from my phone not being powerful enough to take advantage of the real-time update speed (an old Samsung Galaxy Note 3), functionality would have been very good if the boost gauge was accurate, which it wasn't. The highest boost reading I ever saw was only 7 PSI.

Thanks guys, the p3 is nice but I’m looking for a cheaper alternative. Hoping to purchase hpt by the end of the year so no cash for the top of the line lol

Evil does it monitor afr live effectively or log it accurately at least? That’s the main paremeter I’m interested in ,especially since seeing others afr in the 10s stock.

It monitors it poorly there's several things they were spose to update that they didn't. It worked well for about 4 months then they did a patch and it's off and on with properly monitoring things.

If you're just going to buy HPT anyway, just buy a windows based tablet with that. Then you can monitor anything you want in real time, and you can customize the gauge layout. I was going to pick up a windows tablet to mess with, but ended up with an Asus laptop for $179, as I personally prefer the laptop form factor. I'd really hate to see you re-buying hardware/software with the same functionality, or trying to limp something along that doesn't work how you want it to. Also, you can buy the cheapest used HPT cable you can find and use it as a scantool until you need to tune. Then it would only cost you $100 to add the 2 additional credits you need if the used cable doesn't come with any.

Sounds like it's reading the wrong PID. If you're seeing 7psi, typically that means atmosphere isn't being included in the calculation, so add 14.7psi.

Here is a pro cable with 8 credits for $500. That saves you $150 off buying new!

This is a standard cable for $700, but comes with 16 credits, so that's like paying half price for the additional 8 credits. That's a pretty darned good deal.

1) That wouldn't matter, because boost pressure is measured above ambient, so adding atmospheric pressure would just give absolute pressure.

2) it was a boost/vacuum reading, and it read vacuum pressure as expected, just not boost.

3) I don't have it anymore, so I can't do anymore testing with it.
