Eforce - Oil leak :-/
Bone stock e-force kit, found oil under the car today in driveway. A decent chunk. Here's a picture of the front of the engine. Any common things to search for?

Looks like the front seal behind the crank pulley is leaking. It's a pretty common problem.

Assuming that is the source of the leak...
It's not difficult to do yourself if you have the tools and a little know how. I did one in less than an hour. Couple tips: Get a puller like this one... https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000P6UT2I Buy a new AC belt and just cut the old one off. Buy a new crank pulley bolt. Install the new AC belt using the large zip tie method BEFORE installing the crank pulley bolt. Remove the throttle body for the install... The balancer won't fit up through if you don't. A large strap wrench is very handy for holding the crank pulley while tightening the crank bolt. (Much easier than removing the starter and fouling the flywheel.) The parts are reasonably cheap, but I don't remember the exact cost.

Any idea why this happens ? I did a search and it seems like usually there's more damage than just the seal, although that looks to be the case in higher boost applications not my stock setup.

I'm not an expert, but in my case I believe it was just the seal. Of course if the rings are leaking compression that'd be a bigger problem. For me, I fixed the seal and the leak didn't come back. (This happened on the LT4 I put in the SS. The leak was pretty much there from day 1. I just didn't find it for a week or so.)

The engine builders and tuners recommend replacing with the ls3 crank seal. It is a better/stronger design. More info here https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=522692

This is why you use the Mighty Mouse can over the Elite! Or valve cover breather.
Address 2 things.. replace with the LS3 seal... and that hyd tensioner for the accessory belt mine leak to but that may just be the oil from the crank seal getting on it.. Even with my blower the dealer replaced the tensioner.

simple once you get the hub off.. you will see a screw driver can pry it out quite easy.. I have been tapping seals in for 25 years carefully with just a hammer along the outer part of the seal nowhere near the rubber lip w spring... My guess is they didn't lubricate the hub or lip of seal correctly when putting the new eforce hub on. you could use a large socket thats no where near the lip and only rides the outer area... They may even have a seal installer at autozone.. make sure to hit only the outside and evenly tap just don't hit one side to drive seal in and if you use a socket it touches the outside part no where near the lip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
The hub will be the Issue.. a good impact or way to hold crank from turning.. trying to get a impact between the motor and fans will be fun.. I remove the radiator fans and had a low clearance impact or you can manually do it if you can hold the flywheel! this video will show removal from my car

When you see how flimsy it is when you get it out you'll see why it failed. Mine did it at about 13 lbs of boost. Never had a problem till then. You might have to pull the electric fans out also, we just did mine a few months back. I think the seal part number is 12585673, your GM dealer should have that in stock.

Sounds like I at least need to get a Metco breather for mine to be safe, in addition to my Mishimoto catch can......

My mechanic confirmed its the crank seal. Said he doesn't have tools to pull it, and that its leaking pretty dang good. :-/
Should I take it to the dealer?
