Grinding noise when slowing...

I had 5th gen ZL1 wheels installed (kept aftermarket tires from my Vossens). Had new red Monster lugs installed too.

I also had ceramic pads installed about 6 weeks back.

I am getting a rough grinding sound when coming to a stop.

I checked for tire rub, have enough caliper clearance. Any other things to check?

If there is no noise when driving, then it is the brakes for sure. It might just the new ceramic pads breaking in

Did you go thru the pad bedding process on the new pads?

I did go through the bedding process, not sure if I did it right.

A few more observations:

1) I hear the noise when slowing without braking.

2) I can kinda feel the grinding through the steering wheel, though that may be my imagination.

I would get the car up on jackstands on all 4 wheels and spin each wheel by hand to see if you can hear the noise if it was me.

It could be tire noise.

Dealer checked it out today, said its the ceramics. Said they make a noise when slowing even when not actively applying brakes.

Look for gouging on the rotors - inside and out. a small line will indicate a rock or something may be stuck in there - this happened to me once.

You can also do a hard stop or two. If its a small rock chip it'll probably come loose/break off.
