Dimples on my rear panels

Ive recently noticed dimples on the top of my rear quarter panels on my 2016 rs. They are on the top just outside the creases that run down the top. The drivers side has 2 and the passenger side has 4 . They start outside the crease where the rear window ends and are spaced about 4 inches outside the same crease . I thought they might be some kind of hail damage but my car has never been in such weather and the dimples match side to side. The only info ive found on this is it happed on the previous generation. Anyone else have anything like this.

That's funny because I just noticed one on mine after owning it since August. I didn't notice it until I was in a weird angle.

I just saw one on my car yesterday in that same spot.
Did not check for a matching one on the other side.

Im wondering if its from putting 2 50 bags of dog food in the trunk created the dimples.the car only has 700 miles and thats been its only hard job. I noticed mine getting out of the car looking back along the top of the fender. I then looked at the other side and it had 4 lined up. The 4 are get less visable back to front.

Mine is only on the driver side. Really hard to see unless you are looking for it.

Didn't the 4th gen have this sort of problem? All the torque of the LS1 motor, lol?

I have one near my gas door, very hard to see unless the light catches it right.

I work at a GM plant, once I see I picture I could better decide, it could be what we call craters here, people's products they use on there skin in the paint shop affect the paint. It's possible it made it out of the factory..

I'll try to get a picture but it takes a very specific angle and light.

Close. Mine almost looks like one piece of hail hit it but it's very subtle. Same area though.

OK, so it seems like some of us do have an issue with the metal in that area.
