Any tips on how you did it? I want to paint the SS badges but no idea what paint to use. Your badges look great... I kind of want to do those as well but don't know what color scheme to go with. I'm trying to eliminate all the red on my car.

Pulled this heavy mofo out today... Getting ready to install the Stainless works catback tomorrow.
If anyone is curious, the OEM exhaust (M6) weighs roughly 76 pounds... |

Much appreciated! The car went to JDP for its next round of mods. I expect it back in a few weeks. I'll try to make some visits to JDP so I can keep progress videos coming out.
Thanks again!!

Can I please ask how'd you do it? I can't seem to get all 4 sides to stick in. Just 2 sides either left of right not all 4. Is it push in and that's it or am i supposed to do something else remove something? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

For those that don't know, the striker covers are just plastic "squares" that have a "rounded" side and are held in place by 4 small tabs. Nothing needs to be removed prior to their installation. I chose to have the "rounded" side pointing to the outside / away from the car. I don't know if that's the "right" way to do it, I just picked that orientation and it worked for me. I put the cover in position on the inside of the striker plate with the inner tabs in position. I then pressed down and out which caused the outer tabs to click into place. I had to press down and out with a little bit of pressure, but no too much. No tools were used, just hand pressure and I'm certainly no Hercules... I'm not sure, but do have the feeling that removing the covers very well may break off one or more of the retaining tabs. But that's really not a big deal IMO as the covers are very inexpensive. IIRC they were $14-15 with shipping from ThatGMPartsGuy. GM Part #: 13574802 - Sold individually, you need to order 2 to do both doors' strikers. Last edited by TenSeven; 02-16-2017 at 02:24 AM. |
