I'm predicting 2 LT4 powered Camaros in 2017/2018. 1 a ZL1 replacement with very good street credentials and another a light weighted, CC braked track focused car to replace the Z/28. Think $$ going into light weight parts rather that the LS7. My hopeful guess would be 3,650 to 3,700 pounds with 640/650 HP. Only a NA engine not announced or evidence of existence would change that strategy. Should be lighter, but probably by only a 100 pounds or so.

I always said that, but when I had c6 Z06 street car with 550 at the wheel for track, that was little too much. (More than my talent can manage, I should say....) - C6Z was a great car but quite snappy at the limit.
455 hp will be good enough for me for couple of years, and once the warranty is out, I'll probably mod it to be around 460-500 at the wheels. |
