The M6 V6 rear end and drive shafts are supposed to be the same as the SS from what I remember reading. Just different gear ratios. Also has a limited slip differential. Not the same for the A8.

I couldn't find the article that gave all the specifics.

First day of tuning at full throttle was fun! Conservative boost, around 6psi right now. Tomorrow we'll swap pulleys, up the boost. Snapped a quick video before end of day.

I think the A8 has limited slip as well. I leave 2 marks when doing a burnout anyways.

I was under the impression the A8 is not a LSD but a open diff.

Not only is it an open diff. From what I remember reading all turbo 4's and the A8 V6 share the same rear end. Only the M6 V6 gets the SS rear end.

open diffs can put down two lines if the torque on each wheel is the same.

Open diffs send all power to the wheel with the least resistance. In other words, all the power goes to the one that spins the easiest. If both are equally hard to spin, both tires get power.

Limited diffs reverse that effect and reduce power to the wheel with the least resistance.

Locked applies equal power to both wheels regardless of how much one is spinning vs the other.

edit: additionally, traction control may be still active when you are seeing your two lines. This could cause brakes to be applied to the wheel that is spinning ...increasing resistance to spin and equalizing it with the other side. Allowing an open diff to kinda emulate a limited slip at the expense of your brakes. You'll want to disable traction control and stabilitrack to eliminate those effects. Which i think is done by long pressing the traction control switch.

I turned TC off. only did it once. Dont want to break it and wear my tires down to quickly but wanted to make sure it could.

I do believe this to be the case.....
Which is why I bought one.

Cant wait to supercharge it.... and as soon as its out of warranty, IT WILL BE FORCE FED.

Which should mean all I will need is a better clutch and that's it.

can you say.... SLEEPER
my car doesn't even have a rear spoiler.....its a plain Jane Camaro with black 20" rims....that's it.

AND as a bonus...it will attract every tuned turbo mustang on the planet along with every bolt-on 5.0.

from what ive seen.... the 5th gen supercharged v6 was faster than the stock SS.
I'm sure this will be the case for the 6th gen. at least I hope.
