ATS and Camaro may share the same engine but if u ever drove the V6 LLT ATS and Camaro they have huge differences in powerband. I'm not disputing facts, the numbers were high and I know 1/4 mile testing is the better way to go but I can easily see a 2.0 Camaro running down the 2.0 ATS I did it easily in my 2011 V6 Camaro against it's Cadillac counterpart i'm hoping to get some dragstrip time in before the month is out. AutoX is first coming up this sunday.
My issue was the whining and yet again another SS owner chimed in after what needed to be said was said. So we'll just keep running our post counts up together.

ya I know i'm getting all serious for no real reason just tired of the V8 guys chiming in i'd take it as constructive feedback from another I4 guy honestly just amazes me how much they need to smell there own sh*t.

Dude. I'm enjoying your posts and look forward to more of your testing. Enjoying your car is what it's all about. This turbo 4 is an amazing car and SO much fun to drive.

You are the only Camaro on the entire board posting a stock dyno showing over 20% over SAE figures. You better believe there is interest from everyone. That means you are making 2.3L EB power. That's a big deal.

I can't wait til spring to tune this car and see what it does. Hopefully the Aftermarket will grow before then aswell we lucked out with everything being interchangeable from the ATS mostly.

From Vermont Tuning the "Expert" on LTG's
Hi Kevin,
My data for the 2016 model year LTG on the ATS and Camaro does indeed show that GM is under rating the motor. *I have seen the highest results on a stock 2016 ATS with up to 310 hp at the engine at ~ 24 psi in a data log and most of the Camaro stock logs were close to 300hp at 21-22 psi Brian Blair Vermont Tuning LLC 124 LaHue Farm Road Sheldon, VT 05483 ph: 802-393-7305 www.vermonttuning.com facebook.com/VermontTuning So this was from a guy that has perhaps the greatest amount of intimate knowledge on the 2.0 LTG platform across the models. Makes me feel a lot less apprehensive with this dyno given how spot on the 5th Gens were to every other dyno. Not trying to say I have a super LTG just trying to state that GM is underrating these engines terribly and I do know weather is a huge factor in how well a dyno will produce from these cars it being 45 to 55 degrees out on my Saturday run is almost as good as your going to get.

Yeah, this does not surprise me. When I first heard the Camaro had a 4 cylinder, I was like what??? I knew it had a turbo, so I had to test drive it. I was fully expecting to feel the typical 4 banger struggle bus feel. Wow, I was wrong. This thing hauls booty!!! Within 2 hours I was driving it home. I've had a 2010 SS/RS, M6, so yes I am very well aware of the V8 grunt. This turbo 4 is a very healthy power plant.

These are some awesome gains over stock, makes me wonder how much the stock turbo has in it...
Although i personally have no proof (next spring) I fully support that GM has underrated these engines and that they are indeed putting out 2.3EB power... Even with our weight advantage we shouldn't be THAT much faster than the EB, it only makes sense to conclude that our turbo is making more power than what is advertised. Looking forward to see what how much more you'll get with a tune ... Do you plan on keeping the throttle controller after tuning? |

Also, where might i find the write up about your dyno experience with the car that you mentioned? Would love to see what this turbo could do with a 4:11 rear end... |
