A funny note:
While talking about the car on the lift, they decide they like the GT350R better because its N/A. Then while driving they clearly like the ZL1 1LE better regardless of NA or FI.

The review was right about needing a cage, I put mine into the wall at Daytona a few weeks ago, ended up walking away from it but car is a mess.

Ouch sorry to hear that. At least your car went out doing what it was made to do. Glad you came out ok. Is it wrong to ask for pictures?

EDIT: Did you opt for the supplemental track day insurance? I always get it just in case. Its $300 I hope to throw away each time, but... just in case!

This is why I hesitate to track my car man. Even if it’s what it was built for. I already lost one in an accident so I know how shitty it feels. Don’t want to go through that again.

No track day insurance, and yes I'm now re thinking taking my street car to the track. May look into getting a caged track car of some sort. My main problem being I like to drive the car to 9/10ths , and 9/10ths in this beast is very fast! don't think I wold be happy on a race track driving at something less.

I hear you. I'm the same. I enjoy reaching the car's limit more than competing with others' lap times. For this reason my 2017 Grand Sport was my favorite track car and I never reached 9/10ths in that car, maybe 5/10ths. I've not yet tracked my ZL1 1LE though I doubt it will be as enjoyable (for me) as my Grand Sport.

Have you considered buying a used C5 Z06 or something similar for track days? I feel like 9/10ths would be much more attainable in something like that (I don't know what your skill level is, probably greater than mine) and it hurts less when it takes a beating.
