Strut tower brace
Has anyone achieved results installing the strut tower brace?

The chassis is stiff enough that you really don't gain anything other than a couple of pounds.

It was an "Ask Al" question a while back:
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=517935 He said it will give some added stiffness but it was not enough to make it worth it for GM, due to the added cost and weight. Some people get them and say they feel a difference. How much of that is "placebo" effect I can't be sure, but it probably does something just not nearly as much as you might think. |

I go the Black Ano "Chevy Performance" one because it looks cool and I found it for $150 used. It probably weighs ~2 lbs.
I think there's a subtle improvement in steering feel. Not a big deal, it's mainly for looks.

I have one and love it.I don't know how much it improves handling on the 1LE.I got it more for looks then the handling.I think it dresses up the engine bay nicely.Plus i got a good deal from Shopchevyparts.com.It was like a 100 dollars off list price.
