4 banger vs 6...6th gen
Test drove both why did the 4 banger felt like it had more of a kick then the v6?

More torque. The v6 has very little low end performance, so you really dont feel the power until 4-5k.

2.0L Turbo Love
Even tho the little 4 banger has more torque, and ability to be tuned, it still gets nosed up at. People loose interest immediately after you tell them it's 2.0L vs. the V6. Starting to think either I just say oh well, or stop talking to people who tell me I have a nice car. All that being said, my RS is super fun and I don't regret making the decision to purchase it.
Good luck 2.0L peeps, EagleRS |

Love the 2.0 turbo!! Awesome power and an aftermarket that is exploding if you want more power. Just a FANTASTIC platform.

If I decide to go non-V8 in the future, it will be the turbo 4. That way, if I ever decide to do a little tuning, my favorite tuning shop of all time (ZZP) supports this platform.

RS Turbo for the win
Fully in agreement. I have only had my RS 2.0 for 3 weeks, but its a ball to drive and if I baby it when in the mood for top mpg have already achieved 31 MPG in mixed Driving. I love the idea of the V8, but don't need it. I just like the way the car looks inside and out, so the added benefit that its kinda fast and fun to drive too with the turbo is just a bonus.

Also, we have a 16 Malibu Premium with the 2.0 turbo. Not tuned to the full extent of the Camaro 4, but it does move that car well.

I have 2016 RS I4 and it's my daily driver. There is a lot of turbo lag and it dies out rather quickly past 5000 rpm, so the "fun" range is only around 3000-5000 rpm. Plus the sound up top is quite unpleasant.
I've tested 2017 V6 1LE and it was way more fun to drive with continuous linear power and amazing sounds. I can only imagine how fun V8 is. The bottom line is, if you want to mod your internals, and void warranty, go with the I4. However, if you want to keep the internals stock, then V6 is better. It's all based on my personal experience and opinion. Needless to say my next Camaro will be either V6 or V8, with 1LE package. |

Mod for mod and stock vs stock, the lighter Camaro SS is just a tad faster than the Chally. But, if you want a usable trunk and back seats, you can't beat that Dodge.
