Engine Bay / Hood Seal

Hey C5, I noticed that the metal inside of the rubber seals around my hood / engine bay was rusted and the rust is trying to bleed its color over onto my engine bay paint. Is there a part number for the rubber seals? Where can I get a replacement. I would have pics, but I'm on a business trip atm.

Sounds like a warranty issue to me. Your car is barely a year old. They oughta give you the new part for free.

There has been no damage to the car. I'm talking about the metal "lining" inside of the rubber seals around the engine bay. The one in the front and the back. Like its rubber, yeah, but inside of it is metal and it's rusted. Idk if there's a part number for it because its not a significant part.

Somethings wrong here. My 6 year old Camaro has seen lots of rain and washes. Theres no rust anywhere.
Your car may have had some repairs made before your delivery. Either way, your dealer should be able to
repair it under warranty.

3+ years of DD New England Weather and even i haven't seen much rust aside from the stock exhaust system and that was mostly surface that i could fix. This sounds alot like what everyone else says unknown repair i'd go to the dealership.
