Zero to sixty MANUAL ONLY 0-60 ZL1
Searched and didn’t find anything useful…
Normal street trim, cold pressure set to @35 everywhere, tires at temp @41, half tank of gas, level ground, and pulled off several 3.9’s. What can I hope for?

Tire pressure way too high, try 30-32 cold psi.

I am so glad I am moving to a mid-engine platform. PDK GT4 w/ launch control 3.6 and over 200hp less.

It's true that the PDK GT4 may be consistently quicker 0-60 by a 1-2 tenths vs a manual ZL1, and the 2018 ZL1 1LE is 12 seconds faster than the latest GT4 factory lap on the Nurburgring (7:28). Depends on what is more important to you, I prefer overall track performance but I do like the GT4. |

What a silly comment. What is the price of the GT4? For less than $700 in drag radials, the OP could very likely match a 3.6 0-60. Clearly its a traction issue due to having more power than the GT4. Traction can be resolved with a sticker set of tires which costs a LOT less than buying a GT4. I'd rather have more power otherwise we would all be driving a Miata.

Magazines often include 1ft rollout which reduces the time about 2-3 tenths. Also they normally test on a prepped surface...the street is a different ball game especially with a manual. 3.9 isn't bad for a manual car, with street tires on the street.

The best I have done is 4.0 seconds on my Michelin’s. I think I could do better on my 3rs. This was last year.
A few days ago I tried to do some 0-60 runs. I would launch and the timer would abort the run. For some reason my dash kept reading “car must be stopped” even though I was. Like I was at a dead stop. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong here that i did differently last year???? |

Totally agree here, sub 4 second 0-60 in a manual trans is VERY quick.

Congrats on the GT4. I owned the previous gen car and it was fantastic. I know the 718s are better so you will love it. However, if you bought it because you think it's somehow "better and faster" than a ZL1.......sorry to say you spent a lot of $ on a slower car.

I almost got the ZLE, but I just didn't want too daily drive the DSSV's and SC3 R tires (the SC3 tires weren't avail. in ZLE sizes at that time) So my move to the GT4 is from the SS 1LE.

I am excited to see that the advantages of a mid-engine platform gives you for rear traction. No offense meant

It will be my first P car and first mid-engine car. I am coming from an SS 1LE to the GT4, not from the ZLE. Most track times for the SS 1LE and manual GT4 are very close, with the GT4 slightly ahead. With the PDK version, it will be a bit quicker both straight line and in the corners. I knew going in that I was not going to gain much over the SS 1LE, but my motivation wasn't added performance. The SS 1LE is amazing and I am happy with its performance ( I do not track). I just want the SS 1LE performance in a more upscale, lighter, smaller, dual clutch, and mid-engine package. That is my motivation for the move.
