Sharkskin is really a unique color. Depending on the angle and the lighting, it may take on a different hue. Sometimes it actually does look like the color of a shark. Fran was definitely onto something when he chose this color
The spoiler looks great on the car. I also like the contrast of the black on the Sharkskin. Great combo.

Thank you ZPirate. I'm so happy that I was able to buy this car before they are no more. I love my Sharkey.

Thank you 302crossram. The West Coast has a different vibe to it. I like it better than the southeast. But the traffic is terrible everywhere. Everyone wants to be in Florida, but the poor slobs are in for an awakening when they get here.

Agreed my friend. I have 10 more years here, then it's off to the Georgia woods. SC and NC are also options.

Got the car PPF'd in the front, ceramic coated all around, and 15% ceramic tint. It's looking so much better. Just need to find a good spot to take some real pics.

What I'm afraid of is stripping the bolt, and I don't know if an impact gun or a cheater bar on a ratcheting wrench is more likely to do so.

Well yeah, but that's what I used to think like before, didn't even want to swap badges for fear of messing up the paint , but then I manned up and went ahead with that plus many mods afterwards.

Anyhow, I'll keep you guys posted
Okidoki, so I took a deep breath and installed the steering wheel today. Bought a new mega-torque impact gun, but in the end I broke the bolt away with an impact rated T50 bit on a giant breaker bar and a helper holding the wheel in place. Sure enough it's a giant ass bolt with tons of threadlocking lube, and the sound it made when breaking away was as if it (or my torx bit) broke in half

No other gotchas apart from me being totally stupid and trying to force the airbag spring spacers into their seats the wrong way. The ideal tool for popping the airbag would be a pair of concave head punches, because it's a thick spring wire that holds it in place on both sides, but that doesn't exist, so the second best is the thickest Allen key that fits.

The wheel looks and handles amazing, much better and girthier than stock, just the right thickness IMO. The extended paddles are easier to reach and have a great click feel. This is the complete version, with heating (that actually works). I'll get a carbon fiber cover for the center ring once it's back in stock.

Guess I now have a brand new looking complete stock 2SS steering wheel for sale, with red Corvette paddle shifters

Looks great!

Did you happen to weigh the new steering wheel vs the OEM one?

No, sorry Josh. It didn't feel that much lighter, probably because the base aluminum frame is the same GM part, Carbonaddons may be repurposing cores customers send in.
