Opening day at a fresh re paved track, the 1/4 wasn’t open yet. Hopefully by the end of the month. Right lane. I need more testing w 2step, tire pressure and traction.

I tried the 2 step at 3k. Video shows my fronts locked up and being pushed down the track.

I foot brakes it to 1500. 1.7 60’ then Spun 2nd and 3rd 110 trap
Foot brake to 2000. Same thing. 110 trap
Foot brake to 2500. Same thing. 111 trap

The last pass it stuck 3rd and I dropped 3 tenths in et and still kept 110 trap. Can’t wait to get on a track w rubber and prep so I can try to leave under boost and it sticks every gear. I’m guessing I need closer to a 6.5 to get my 9 goal. I think it makes the mph just needs to stick 2nd gear.

I'm racing this weekend, not sure if the 1/4 track will be open yet or not. Hopefully 1/4. There's been a bunch of days where rubber has been laid down and hundreds of passes have been made so I'm hopeful in getting some better traction. I will also drop my tire pressure to the world famous 18psi and see what happens.

I let my buddy hook up his hp tuners into my car to see what some of the configuration. It timed out in the middle of reading, then killed my battery. The car went into some freak mode where it had to re learn the windows and dash went into a Hybrid screen. I trailed it to my tuner and had him re flash it. It went back to normal but then I found the maf rubber gasket was blown out. I replaced that and added a little super glue. I think everything is back to normal now.

I'm tempted to bring it to the dealer to diagnosis if there is something draining my battery because it seems to always be an issue. Also get the AC re charged. It works but doesnt blow as cold as it should.

I made one half decent pass. Need to work on the 4 to 5 shift. It was 87* out and humid as hell. I need more practice launching it.

Nice run Choda. With that trap speed, you’ve definitely got a 9 second time slip in your near future.

Getting a little faster each time out. Must be improving on the tune. What converter are you running? Man if you could get those 60ft times down where mine and many others are you be killing it in the 9.80s or quicker. Your car back halves like mine about 30 plus mph from the 1/8 mile trap speed. Wicked

Thanks guys. The tune stayed the same, different track with different conditions. I do know my wot 4-5 shift needs adjustment.

circle d 3200-3400 triple disk yada yada. Its no where near 3k stall. I'll probably end up pulling it out over the winter and having them loosen it up a bit.

Next track outing, ill be playing with the 2 step more. Practice practice practice. All my buddies that I am racing around with are 1.3 to 1.5 and just busted into the 9s. Well see, I think it makes the power to get there. Just a little trans tuning and getting it to leave hard.

Good luck next time out and if you can get the 2 step working you should see some more gains.

I have it working but the front tires pushed through the beams last time i tried to hold 3k rpm. Brakes were locked. I turned it down to 2800 rpm and it seemed to still wanna push. The car spools up nicely so as long as it sticks, I should be able to leave in some boost which would drastically decrease my short times. Its also loading the suspension a lot because of the tight stall.

Cool, are you using a transbrake? I think to get that car to flash the converter correctly its needs that. I think they're available for the A8, I could be wrong.
