But I've gone down the road of supercharging and modifying cars that weren't built to handle the extra power over the long term. I wouldn't even go FI with my SS after all the money I spent fixing things after making the older V6 cars fast. At least I turned my own wrenches and was able to save the cost of paying for labor.

Is the money well spent? If you had fun, I guess it is. For me, I had fun, but I learned that your starting platform in a car is critical in choosing how much HP and torque and what application you'll use this new power for.

So if I want 400HP to the wheels, I'd get a 1SS for 38K or a leftover/used for a lot less. You will be voiding your warranty with a FI kit on the LT and will likely need to fix transmissions and axles in the future anyway.

Gas mileage? I get 30-31 now on 92 octane with my A8 interstate driving. 22-23 with E85.
No disrespect either : but you come into Overkills supercharger thread with what seems like a debatable possible derailing topic you will get a little kickback. Opinions are always welcome but you are coming across like you are warning people not to do it... The v6 community is small I am sure we all know the risks.

if you're not voiding your warranty all over the car, then you're not modding it...so why would any of this be a concern of yours?

I doubt the v6 has anything to worry with modest forced induction. The chassis is the same as the v8 so the car can handle tons of power. Way more than a fi v6 will ever put down. The weak points of the fueling system and trans can be dealt with if you're looking for something crazy but for a 100hp give or take boost, it seems well within reason for the stock components.

Sorry for the confusion folks, I'm not bashing Overkills hard work or product. Sorry that I've got a few of you defensive. Just trying to impart advice from my own experience. Again, I wish the few of you that will FI a very high performing NA V6 the best of luck. I've been there.

My car is going strong as ever. I've had no mileage degradation at all. I took it to Texas Motor Speedway and had an absolute blast! Guys couldn't believe the Dyno #s from STORM...yes, my car is ALIVE! Check out Sycraft's comments when he drove STORM.

So on a manual transmission it should be at around 390 to the wheels
My stock dyno was around 290 http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=475431

Hey guys just wanted to jump in here and mention I am taking my camaro over to Tracy in a few weeks, I will be leaving my car with him for the supercharger install. Anyone interested in the quality or reliability of working with WILL and Tracy need to check out the camaro 5 forums of the kit. Reading this forum sealed the deal that these are the guys to work with when it comes to the V6 engine.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=472805

There is the possibility of a higher rpm stall converter and meth injection as well on my car.

I will update with pictures etc... I will be getting dyno'd and possible some 1/4 mile runs if they want to run them if it falls in the time frame. I am a noob when it comes to the drag strip. But if they don't get any runs in I will once final tuning with Will is done.

updates will come in June once I get my car over to Tracy.

I am a new camaro owner but the 5th gen v6 owners are super passionate I hope in the months years to come the 6th gen V6 community grows just as big.

I have the go-ahead to get this once it's ready. Though i'll probably install it myself. Hopefully this is a weekend in and out type of install considering i'll have to play games with emissions testing once that's needed. Seems highly unlikely we'll ever see a CARB compliant supercharger for the lgx.

yeah camaro 5 owners have said with not much experience its a good 3 day weekend project. I am sure the 6th gen will be similar if not easier.

Dropped my car off today with Will and Tracy today, I could not have felt more comfortable leaving my car in someones hands. They have several projects going and some of the stuff Tracy has done is magnificent!... Karen ( Their Voice on the phone ) Was an absolute charm to deal with.

Doing Stage 2 kit with Meth and Possible 3.27 carrier swap ( Carrier swap still up in the air. )

A few other possibilities to be added on I will update as progress continues. Also if anyone is going to camarofest I will be there!

Wait...So, Installing the Overkill SC will cause us to fail emissions? I currently live in TX at the moment. The SC might not be an issue here. But when I move back to VA, I will probably fail emissions due to them more strict than TX. What exactly makes it fail emissions, the tune?
