Wow this is fun!

Good job Ford is what I have to say, and the Camaro can likely be thanked for that. This competition is great. The Mustang was stagnant for so many years until the Camaro forced them to step it up. Claimed similar 0-60 times, both will have Magneride/MRC respectively, and active exhaust? Bring on the real life side by side comparisons!

Subjectively, I'm trying to wait until I see one in person, but its a similar looking to lesser Ford products... Camaro is definitely bad to the core.

HAHA, I bet Ford is gonna get that A10 trans and screw it up. They'll probably throw some weak internals in it or give it a shit torque converter or it'll overheat or won't launch properly or something will happen and it won't be able to get that power to the rear of it. Or it'll have the same crappy axles that'll snap like a twig under hard launches.

i have owned many fords and 4 mustangs..

I'm one of those who is glad Ford upped their game. Otherwise where's the incentive to make the Camaro better? Now it's Chevy's turn. Gotta love competition! Maybe eventually you won't have to opt for the ZL1 to get a 10 speed auto.

Like many have said, can't wait for a head to head match up.

the gen5 camaro wipes the floor with the s550 as a dd enjoyable car..
the gen6 simply put is on another planet..the gen6 feels so planted..so rock solid.so damn nice.
no steering twitching...the s550 steering twitches even if u run over a peeble.
nasty car to drive...
here in europe we had the ford sierra..to me the s550 feels identicle to one of those..

The comment you posted wasn't referencing you, it was referencing "most people".

"Most people" are concerned with 0-60 times than nearly every other performance aspect of the car.

And this prove my point. The Challenger is old but they keep bringing out more power and more exciting models. It sells about the same as the new Camaro. If that doesn't prove big power numbers help sell cars, I don't know what will.
Without the PP, the auto will come standard with A/S tires if they follow their previous trend. Think you can get a set of summer tires but they weren't as good as the PP ones. That means an auto non PP(and non MRC I'm betting) will turn a very different time. I could see easily a couple of tenths.

Also since the best seller for the Challengers are the V6 or the RTs, it actually proves HP doesn't sell...if anything price does. The last few times I've looked at Dodge 392 and Hellcat numbers, they have accounted for only 10% of monthly sales.

Prices are up.


It looks like MSRP is now up to $35095 for the base GT.

10 Speed auto is a $1595 option.

Performance pack is a $3995 option with magneride being $1695 on top of that.

$40785 for a performance pack GT with magneride doesn’t sound like too bad of a deal.

has the diveline been sorted.

We all saw that coming, PP plus Premium(401A) going to cost more than 2SS? And the standard SS probably outperforms it still, unless Ford did some serious suspension work for the PP now.

If the Mustang could do low 12's in the 1/4 mile, I'm sure Ford will brag about it just like it did with the 0-60 time. I doubt it can. And definitely not in the real world do you see those numbers. With the Camaro people are getting consistent 12.2-12.4 with the A8 and 12.4-12.6 with the manual which are great numbers on stock tires. People don't understand how fast 12.4 time is if you hookup well.

Anyway, how long before another one of these happens? :
