The coupes are fun lol. I debated the vert vs coupe. But something about the roof line on a coupe without sunroof grabbed me.

I miss the t-tops my Z28 had. So when the wife and I decided for the new car we wanted that feel of the wind and sun but the sunroof wasn't enough. And my wife didn't like the blind spot so at least she can drive this with the top down and no blind spots anymore.

I understand what you want to do. You have a white 16/17 that doesn't already have the FIFTY package with the blackout trunk and FIFTY logo (This is the Club Fifty thread so I think others believe you have a 50th Edition). You are taking off your bowtie and want a decal to go across that area. What size are you looking for? Give a measurement width and height you want on your trunk.

Happy Thursday Club F1FTY. Just popping in to say hi and catch up on the news.

I'd love to have one of those watches but no way at that price. That's supercharger money just about right there. Also, is there a consensus on where to get the windshield decal? I mean any vinyl shop should be able to do it but is there someone that has posted on the forums that's offering them? It may have been covered before but I forget.

I'm still waiting patiently for the GM intake to be available. I'm using that as an excuse to stall a bit on getting the exhaust. I'm thinking of taking the easy, though more expensive route and just doing GM performance parts this time. The exhaust is actually Borla anyway so no problem there other than they told me it's quieter than what they sell themselves. I just don't know by how much since there's not a lot of videos of it. Also, aside from the product price, I have to keep in mind the dealer will probably charge me for the install too and dealer shop time isn't cheap.

I'm also still pondering if I want to black out my bowties or not. I have the vinyl to do it but these are textured where the 5th gen wasn't, I think, so not sure how well it'll stick. Also still thinking about the black tail lights but not 100% sold on it. The contrasting colors of the stock red lights against NGM looks pretty nice and so do the gold bowties. It's a tough decision.

Windshield decal is on. I did a little extra and had her make the CAMARO in the upper right. The FIFTY is in a metallic silver. The red-orange vinyl matches pretty well. If it sat right next to the hood stripes you might see the difference, but the distance just looks like it matches well. The letter measurement is 46" x 5".

If anyone is interested in one of these windshield decals, she said it would be $20 plus shipping. PM me and I will send you her info.

lol ramble on Chris. It's all good. I too am still torn on the dark taillights mainly because I kept the gold bow ties and not sure it goes as well with those. And I'm not wanting to buy another glowtie.

As for the intake I'm probably going cold air inductions brand.

I'm looking for one that goes straight across the top of the windshield in the AS-1 area or within the 5" limits... Like the Daytona 500 one below. Also, I'd like to get an exact match on the color. Do you know if your contact can color match with a Pantone CAPSURE Color Measurement Tool or similar device?

I had her peeps do the install. It looks easy enough it comes with the top tape so after you align it where you want and masking tape it in the middle, pull off the back tape from one side and cut it with scissors, then bring the tape down as you squeegee the letters from the center to the edge. Repeat on the other half.

Depending on the angle you look at the windshield, the top is not straight across... and the windshield is curved. You could get the vinyl cut like mine, then cut each letter off individually and place to your liking where it looks straight like the pace car. I'm not sure about the color matching with Pantone CAPSURE tool. I sent her a text, but you may have to ask. EDIT: She said a nearby print shop has the tool, but it would only be as close as the vinyl allows. She doesn't color the vinyl, only orders it from 3M or the other companies from their sample color books. There was no metallic red-orange for the FIFTY, but red-orange or mars orange were close to looking like the factory orange stripes without going more over to the red side of the spectrum.

Had my passenger side "FIFTY" replaced on Monday. Looks MUCH better than it did. However, I'm embarrassed that she's a bit dirty or I would have better pics.

The parts I didn't show. The hood is FILTHY! Water spots from dust and a recent sprinkle.

Gonna clean her up and try another photo shoot.
