Yes, I had the one on the passenger side replaced and now try to proactively avoid using any type of pressure (water or air) around the emblems.

While you may have ( and I might have them later ) issues with side badges. I ijust wanted to report that I have my ViN. They have the car secured and Nov 2 is confirmed pickup day.

You can't see it from where you are right now - but I have happy feet under my desk. Might need a nap now.

Yes, I noticed the badges are super flimsy.
Always have problems when washing the area with wash mitt or when drying with towels.
Also the sticky back collects fibers from the towel.. drive me nuts.
I actually took a pair of tweezers to take out the fibers.

After that, I try not to catch that edge of the "Y" when washing.
Annoying, I agree.

3 days of waiting nearly killed me.. not sure how you can endure 2 weeks!

I've not had any issues with mine coming off. But the Y does snag on towels and mits when cleaning if not careful. So now I'm taking extra care when cleaning that area.

Short answer, yes.


Long answer, just had my passenger side emblem replaced this past Monday because it was put on crooked at the factory. I'm VERY careful around them with my towels and such. Haven't actually performed a water wash other than a quick, light, rinse. They should have at the very least rounded off the "Y".
I'm also a bit partial to the attachment method of emblems back in the "old" days. Yeah there was a hole if you removed them but they weren't stuck on with 3M tape and subject to falling off.

But from a manufacturing standpoint, it costs more to add a process to punch/drill a hole on stamped parts.
It probably made the 'debadging' guys happy too.

That being said, I'm not one of those debadge-everything type of person, so also I prefer the old school hole types.

Picked up the beauty last night. A 50th Anniversary convertible v6. Worth the wait for a custom order. I was thrilled to see the wife actually excited about some of the features. Just a quick picture when we got home. I'll have to take more later.
