With the Redeye announced, I'm stepping up my game

It would be hard to get one to launch any harder on the stock tire, but I do feel like TM will hinder the improvement a drag tire should bring, but I've yet to try a set to say for sure.

Wish we had some of that AC Saturday. It was a tough one.

The Redeye is definitely one way to step up your game.

10.94 Bone Stock down to the tire. Your guess is as good as mine for modified cars. I've seen a few 9s.

Lots of them running 9 second passes as well without axle issues.

LC seems to help with consistency.

11.4-11.5 very consistently. 1 low 1.7 60' mostly mid to low 1.8s. I run at Atco just about every T&T night. Storming tonight. :(

And yes, Auto HCs are faster in general than ZL1s. I did beat a manual HC with my bolton M6 SS.

Ah, Frostbite. Okay, got my goals then. haha. I'm currently doing my build so. I'm shooting for the fastest Zl1 out. We'll see what we can lay down. 8's are going to be tough. But anything is possible with $. I'm shooting for 9.5 on my first go. Then we'll go from there.

Not anytime soon, the Demon and Redeye are my new performance targets for the Hellcat. Made a few pretty cheap and small tweaks and gonna go for 10.30s when the weather isn't so terrible and go from there.

I have pics, but nothing sexy until the ProCharger goes on which is supposed to be tomorrow or Thurs. Suspension, alignment, toe and tuning gets done Fri.



We are shooting for 1100 even tho I want 1200, but it is 105 degrees and we don't think it's possible in this heat to hit 1200. But, if we can pull off 1100 in Houston in July, then I know once temps drop down to the 70's, I'm looking at 1250 to the wheels. This will be done on Matt's infamous numbers killer Mustang Dyno, so if we can pull off 1100, I'm going to do flips.


From there, I'll do some track times to see if we hit our goals of 9.5 range.

Then car goes back into the shop for a complete motor build and a 100 or 200 shot of NOS.


My end goal is 1500 hp depending on what the tranny can hold. We'll see what happens.

It isn't, but he said his tuner is looking into why it wasn't pulling on the big end like it should.

Here is my last pass for comparison. Stock down to the tires in terrible air. It's clear his car isn't pulling the back half the way it should.

His 1/8" mile trap speed looks pretty good, but then it just falls on it's face. Maybe the tune is too aggressive and it pulls too much timing with the higher load of the higher gears?

Have to wonder if he would have gone quicker with a different person tuning. Reason i say that is those mods are similar to those of the ZL1 Drag Car and they are running 1.4sec 60ft and 10.0 at 138 consistently they claim. Some may be track and weather conditions.

Yes, agree 1/8 mile looks pretty good. That thing has meth injection and all that too....different tuner likely would help for sure.
