Sorry to hear that man! Truly sucks to have that happen.
Any info you can share in the circumstances, like what measures you might have had in place that they defeated in order to get your car

I'm sorry. Dallas/Houston/LA people will forever be plagued by car thefts.

Super sorry man.

Just wondering, any anti-theft devices?

I think maybe covering the vin and installing kill switch would have stopped them.

Or a Club. Takes longer to defeat the Club than the OBD so they're likely to move on to an "easier" target.

And THAT is exactly why whenever my car is (rarely) parked in public, it looks like this, not 1 but 2 clubs, either gotta drill them both out or saw the steering wheel in 2 separate places... All takes time and a lot of it:

Also, even if they defeat the "Clubs" they've got a very long, uphill battle to get it... Layered approach to security... MANY layers...

Club is a good visual deterrent, but i can defeat a club in about 15 seconds without tools.

Here is a video of me doing it.

Well, it's a visual deterrent, but even if they get both Clubs off, they have multiple other layers to get through... Probably not great posting that video on a public forum... (Thief's are typically stupid (which is why they are thief's, no sense giving them any additional information...))

OK, I just went out into my garage and grabbed both of my clubs (they are red, not yellow like yours, so maybe these are different versions) and what you are doing didn't work on either of mine, both stayed locked exactly at the position I locked them at... I even rotated them more than you did (I didn't bother to put them on the steering wheel so I could rotate them further to get them to jump (if they were going to jump) and I couldn't once get it to jump a single lock section on either one... Perhaps your's were older versions??? Chinese knock-offs??

I wondered about the red ones vs the twin hook ones also. I thought about buying a red one to try the same thing. These yellow ones were given to me for the "fix" for all the KIAs and Hyundais until they actually fixed the fact that they can be stolen so easy. I actually found out how to unlock them like i do when i was messing with one while i was bored and waiting for parts to show up.

The Club is a good first layer in a multi layer approach but unfortunately it is EASILY defeated by using bolt cutters on the steering wheel. Cut and bend the wheel. Remove Club. Bend wheel back. I found this out 20 years ago when no-good punk bastards attempted to steal my '94 GMC pickup. My homemade kill switch foiled their attempt.

Never had a club, or plan on getting one, but that’s crazy how easy you jiggled it free!

True. But I would expect someone looking to OBD hijack a Camaro is not likely walking around with bolt cutters.
