Powdercoating could account for most of that?

a small bump of the front bar (with other things constant) makes sense with the increase in tire...

When others have measured the same way I have and got 28mm? I also measured multiple places along the bar and got 30.3mm everywhere.

Make sure that where you're measuring the bar is actually round. Tubing tends to go oval where it is bent - and for distances back along the nominally straight sections as well. The 'wider' direction of a bent tube is out of the plane of the bend, which is what the picture showing 30.37 mm looks like it's measuring.

Alternatively, measure in two locations spaced 90° around the circumference at each of your measuring points and consider the true diameter to be closer to some average.

I have no idea how thick powdercoating might be.

I did measure at multiple straight sections. The powder coat is chipped from shipping at a few spots. Using the depth gauge on the tail of the calipers, I get about 0.18-0.20mm thick. I also re-measured the bar diameter multiple places, on all straight sections, away from bends. This time I did an "out-of-round" type measurement about the circumference of the sections - every measurement is 30.36-30.37mm. The bar is 30mm. End of story.

Folks, the sway bars that were sold to me by Chevy were for the 2015 ZL1 not the 2017, so the info above is incorrect. I had the car jacked up, tires removed. bottom plate removed and the parts did not look right. Back to Chevy.

You know after I started looking at them all online I had a feeling something was wrong for the numbers to be that far off and seeing the other posts by people. They all look relatively similar and are all tubular steel so they can't be that different in weight. At least you figured it out

Quick question for anyone that's already ordered the full 1LE/ZL1 set up: Has anyone gotten the calibration done on the MRC shocks at the dealer using the code that's included with the shocks?

You better hurry up and find a suspension upgrade based on the recent video by JRE and I think the HP and TQ are a little off in your signature.

LOL...I know right, I just saw it a few minutes ago. I've already got the BMR upper and lower arms in back so I should be fine. I'm more worried about the axle and driveshaft

I called GM yesterday about the "17 ZL1/1Le "sway bars" and they provided the following part #s 84026864 and 84052981 and they sent me a set and I picked them up today. The 2981 weighs on average 10.2# and the 6864 weighs 17.8#. These weights are based on a bathroom scale and measuring each 5 times then averaging the results. The list prices are $135.32 and $113.45 and I paid $$101.52 and $85.12.
Sorry for the previous misinformation. My bad!!

I'm curious about the 1LE/ZL1 sway bars as well. I would assume the normal ride quality would not change and you'd most likely just feel a difference in the corners.

I added them last week and the ride is stiffer Tour feels sport and sport feels like track.. You can tell the difference just riding down the road.

That's interesting. I like the way the car rides now and was just looking for minor changes, so maybe this one isn't for me!

A small update on my side. Keep in mind that I've ONLY installed the front bar. Took the car out today and the car feels much more neutral. Other than this bar, the car is stock with something like -1.5 degrees of camber up front. Ride is maybe a smidge stuffer over bumps. Honestly, I don't really notice much change in ride quality. More driving to come.

Also, measured the stock SS front bar exactly like I did the 1LE/ZL1 bar. It is 28mm. The wall thickness seems less than the 1LE/ZL1.
