Your definition of good coilovers and my definition of good coilovers are obviously quite different (on par with the ongoing discussion if one needs MRC or not). A "good" coilover suspension costs more than $1700. Heck, to me, a good double adjustable coilover suspension will be north of $3k-$5k (Koni, Bilstein) when all is said and done. "Great" will get you in the $6k-$10k range (Moton, et. al.). I know quite a few cars where the shocks cost more than 3x the car. ![]() "Street" (i.e. mad tyte tunerz) coilovers that only adjust rebound at preset values are in the $1500 range. I do not call those good coilovers. Not even in the same ballpark. Good track ones? Not at all. Nope. Nopenopenopenope. --kC |

Sounds like it outperforms 5th gen 1LE without it as well.

Good point.
I think the power to weight ratio is really in favor of the 6th Gen.

Most events are regional that I go to. There are autocross events in the Jaguars stadium parking lot I do, as well as time attack events at one of the large police training grounds that has grown to 150 plus cars. I have also ran at Daytona and Sebring during events run by the Audi club, who allows all makes to attend. I have not done as many events lately as a growing family has taken my priority. I have been to the Runoffs a few times, but as a crew member. I actually have gotten more into drag racing, as it's not to far to two tracks, and that is something I can do at night that doesn't involve the whole day and having to trailer the car with extra sets of tires. But I use my Mustang for that...which is what will be replaced by a new Camaro down the line... |

![]() Again, your definition of good and mine are different in the same way that your definition of good and what someone would consider MRC is. All I'm saying is there is no one "good". What is "good" for you may not be good, (or be too rough, etc...) for someone else's needs. --kC |

Driving through Oklahoma is a better test to the suspension than the GM proving grounds, trust me!!!!!!! Tour mode is actually more comfortable with bumps and uneven surfaces than my 09 F150 supercrew cab. I tossed it on sport and track mode to test differences, it was phenomenal. There is a MASSIVE difference from rough to smooth. |
