You would think so, but so far no one has proven that to be the case. Nick's 1.68 60' is the best I've seen on an untuned car. Everyone suspects torque management for preventing much of an improvement over the stock tires. I hope to have some drag radials to test myself this coming spring. Even if a big improvement doesn't prove possible, I feel the low 1.7s will be less dependent on track prep, and therefore low 11s and high 10s will come more easily and more frequently. I'm really hoping to see at least a .1 improvement even though I've not seen that done yet, so I can lay down some low 1.6s, and maybe run a little deeper into the 10s. That's my plan anyway.

Thanks David, I'm pretty impressed with the car.
Yep, IneedAZ, the HC is an interesting animal....it seems Dodge "may" have been going for more, but had to dial it back for whatever reason. Folks that have tuned their cars to extend the shift point beyond the factory 6,000RPM mark have picked up large amounts of HP and torque. The folks that tuned my old R/T have their shop Hellcat shifting at 6700RPM and I think he told me it made an extra 70RWHP with just that change a lone. Seems the cam in this motor has a lot of headroom left in it, nothing like the one in my old car that ran out of breath at 5800. |

The sample is probably pretty small right now with a majority of the country in below-freezing temperatures recently and throughout this week. Even without that, our tracks here close through the winter. Good luck to anyone where it's warm!

I hear you. I got mine right after the tracks closed here, but they will be open in Feb for T&T on Sundays. Hope to put down a decent ET then.

They are running in California but they aren't laying down much for impressive numbers.
