"Typical" mustang enthusiasts can't purchase this car. It's unattainable unless you're uber rich or a YouTuber...

For everyone saying Misha is claiming that the ZR1(X) has another 10 seconds in it, while I’m sure it does have some time left in it, Misha said the same thing about the Z06 which sport auto ran last year. Sport auto was about 1 second faster. Yes I know different day, blah blah blah but the truth is we’ll never see any of these cars run on the same day unless there’s a racing series called “showroom” stock where manufacturers run bone stock cars in a racing series (is this what nascar used to be?).

Maybe you'd be right about the ZL1-1LE. However, the C7 ZR1 Nurburgring time was done on Cup2 run flats in so-so conditions. It's a Cup2R and a sunny day away from a time well below 7 minutes. Most data shows that a Cup2R is 2 seconds per lap faster than a Cup2 on most tracks approximately 2 miles in length. Nurburgring is 13 miles. The math supports any theory that the C7 ZR1 was sub 7 capable given the right tire and a dry track. |

Whether you want to accept it or not, they will be at the track and like I said, a fair amount of them won't be at stock power. People bring modded exotics to the track. These won't be any different.

Whether you want to accept it or not, the GTD is an overpriced, overweight, Furd. One that Furd doesn't even build. Don't get me wrong I'd give my left nut for a Furd GT but the GTD is not comparable to the fully production built any joe blow can purchase C8 ZR1.....period.

I am in agreement that the front engine corvette had more in it. I fully believe GM just wanted to go mid engine simply because they wanted to charge more for the car. One way I know they didn’t take the front engine corvette to its peak is the fact they used leaf springs all the way until the end of front engine corvette production.
It’d be cool if GM brought back a front engine, rwd, V8 vehicle (and with a manual option) to slot below the mid engine corvette whether it be called Camaro or whatever but I doubt that will happen.

Well if you mod a GTD and it beats the ZR1X, one can then mod the ZR1X to beat the GTD again, and probably still stay way under the GTD's sticker price. Edit: a driver mod would probably be all that's required
