Could very well be. It's always been finicky IMHO, but I chalked it up to the design and intentionally not wanting the signal to broadcast too far. Either way, I'm glad it's a part of my multi-layered approach, but it definitely gives me good reason not to stall

I had a thought yesterday about a trunk mounted battery disconnect.
If you have a battery disconnect like what racecars use in the trunk you can pop the trunk then cycle the entire car off from the trunk to keep it from being driven off. Then you can't open your own trunk to turn it back on. But if you ran a 20amp fused jumper in parallel to the disconnect. It will maintain learned adaptations and retain key fob functions. But if a start attempt were made then the fuse would blow and kill the power to the car. |
