Mostly unwanted attention. Everyone suddenly wants to race no matter what they drive. Lifted pickup truck? Check. Lexus? Check. V6 Challenger..... Check. Porsche family sedan....Check. I know exactly what this car CAN do so I don't risk it all over some meathead who wants to race though.
People look at me and see how young I look and assume my parents are paying for it or something I'm sure, giving me the stink eye or "he doesn't deserve that" look. The younger kids drool over it (8-18 range) but that's about it. Girls could care less as they are all into pickups and jeeps down here anyway. I got it for myself though, so no attention at all is fine by me. Even today you don't see many Camaros on the road in general. TONS of Mustangs though, followed by Challengers, 350/370z's, Chargers, etc. Once in a while I'll see a Shelby and I respect that. Have a Dodge Viper or two in the state I've seen and about 3 Ford GT owners. It's nice driving a car that is still a bit of a unicorn you could say, no matter what generation. Especially with the 6-speed. Dollar per dollar this thing blows so many cars out of the water. If Chevy keeps this up my next car will either be another Camaro or a Corvette of course.

Its the colour that gets peoples attention. The bright colours..blue ...orange ...red...yellow ...green are all attention grabbers. Ive seen many black ..grey 5th gens and dont take a second look. Inferno orange with white stripes gets everyones attention. Ive seen a few black 6th gens ..ok but they still blend in. But when I saw the bright blue....that certainly grabbed my attention. The black 6th gen was slmost in front if me before I saw what it was. The blue easy to spot.

I just got my 6th Gen ZL1. Three stops and three people coming up to talk... one of them asking to take pictures. So far, batting 1000.

Up where I live, it doesn't appear to get much attention. I live in the land of box like Subaru's driving right at the speed limit or under.
I think my beast scares them. |

So much for the guy behind me trying to check out my Camaro. I had to put the brakes on pretty quick. There is a first for everything, this was one for me. Always wondered when a tire falls off a car/suv while driving what would it look like. Just glad some of the debris didn't hit my car and no one was hurt...

I think some of the attention I get is "The old guy, driving the cool, hot car" stuff.
Plus hyper blue, when spotlessly clean and buffed, IS tough to not notice. I go to a nearby Air Force Base a few times a month, to shop as a retired Vet. The Air Cops at the gate have 100% of the time complimented or questioned me about the car. One of the guys seemed like a real "car guy" so we met up a few days later and he drove it. He REALLY got an education. I enjoyed giving him a bit of fun. Life as a two striper in the Service can be tough. Not a lot of SS's here in MT either. |

Jury still out on my new 50th, but my 13 ZL1 Vert people were like oh you got a Camaro, I'M like no it's not just a Camaro and it only got attention from gear heads. So I got a 15 C7 and it was breaking necks about as fast as it went through motors, so now I'm back to the SS we will see.

Same here...took it for a 300 mile break in spin just now & the rubber necking was funny. The best were all the troopers, border patrol & county guys stopped and patrolling the intersection out in he back roads. REALLY got a stare down from those gents.

Yeah this is the first car I've ever had that I get someone asking me what my car is or complimenting me on the car pretty much once or twice a week. I get requests of trading when randomly getting out of the car in parking lots. I don't really know what the appropriate thing is to say in those situations. Do I say NO WAY? I usually just smile and keep walking.
