Just a long term update here. I went from a gen 6 SS to a gen 6 zl1 and that seat doesnt have the issue. The side bolster is actually larger so you sit in the seat, and your leg doesnt ride on the bolster. Its the pressure from underneath that is causing the pain.

My car has the Recaro seats option (same as in the 2SS 1LE and ZL1). And those seats are very comfortable. I've recently done a 2300 mile road trip with no issues. Longest stretch was a 14 hour drive with a couple of breaks in between. At no time did I feel any discomfort. I am 6'5" 230 lbs. |

Sorry to dredge this back up but I wonder if anyone else has tried the suggestion made about repositioning that bar. I didn't notice it at first myself but the last week or so it has become fairly uncomfortable. I can press down and feel that bar that was pictured. I am fat but base on what ive read, that doesn't seem to matter. Gonna play with seat positioning for now.
