I was SO excited when GM announced they were bringing the Camaro back after the 2006 concept was a complete hit, that when the first 2010s hit the dealers and I drove one in March of '09 I was CRUSHED. That interior was a joke. |

That's got to be a typo, right...
I can't imagine how it can be worse. Now, I haven't sat in a Kia, but I did test drive a new accord (I have a Honda fanboy friend, so we went down to the Honda dealership before I bought the '14 Camaro) and I have to say, the interior feels cheap. The plastic panels feel thin and super flexy, at the seams you could tell how thin the plastic was. Now I'm not saying it's less durable, but to me it seems... cheap. Hondaboy, having never driven anything but Hondas since the turn of the century, didn't really get that sense. Anyway, to finish my tangent, the Accord v6 coupe, while being the most powerful car they had on the lot, certainly isn't fast. Hondaboy went back later to buy a minivan (lol) and told the dealer that I got a Camaro. Evidently they said to him "Well, if he bought a Camaro, then we didn't have what he was looking for." The funny thing is, I wasn't looking for a Camaro at the time, just a replacement car for my Charger.

GM interiors have been atrocious for decades. Hard, squeaky, cheap plastic that breaks easily. The 2010-15 Camaro is a cool car but the interior was designed and engineered pre-bankruptcy. Since the bankruptcy they've been improving a lot. But the 5th gen Camaro seriously disappointed me. I was ready to buy one and when I sat in it and drove it, the interior killed it for me. The 6th gen interior is vastly improved. |

so according to the guy in the video we got Alpha-Camaro because Zeta just happened to be going out of production.
now there's a round about way to explain it. |
