You guys and your warranty worries........

Please google and read the Magnusson/Moss Act.

The basic gist of it is this: no manufacturer can legally void your warranty just by simply having any kind of aftermarket modifications done to your car.

If you have a problem, the manufacturer must prove the aftermarket part caused the problem in order to legally refuse to repair your car under warranty.

Just having it on there cannot void your warranty.

If your power window breaks they cannot blame it on an aftermarket exhaust.

If you take it in for an oil change and they notice an aftermarket exhaust they cannot cancel the warranty for your car.

You can modify the hell out of your car and if anything breaks the manufacturer must prove the part or parts made by the aftermarket company were the direct cause of the failure of the manufacturer of the car.

So go ahead and buy all the parts you want! Besides, these are parts made by GM - you really think they'd void your warranty on parts they make themselves?

Well I hope if you get the 6 piston slotted rotors that there is a matching set for the back?

I'm sorry if this was already addressed but would be better, the performance exhaust or the Dual mode exhaust?

Also i do not see any way to "visualize" any of these accessories in that visualizer, that thing needs to be updated, has there been any news of when an actual build and price customizer might be up? I want to see those black taillights!

Is anyone else bothered that the SS's can't get red colored calipers with the stock breaks (4 piston all around) but the LT's get it if they added the same break package?

You going to pay the legal fees to fight your dealer in court? If anything, I have always worked with my dealer and had them install key items and got them to put in writing they would not void my warranty. I have been good so far.

Almost.

They can deny a warranty claim without having to prove anything. However, you can then sue them for breach of contract, at which point they *would* have to prove that the modification caused the damage in question, otherwise they will be liable for the costs of the repair as well as possibly being liable for your court costs.

Subjective, all out performance I would say the performance exhaust may make more power and will probably be lighter. NPP has the adjustable sound.

Click that "Explore More" and you can see pics of some of the items. Agree there needs to be more.

These aren't parts you can put on your order per say. But I am sure the dealer will be happy to install them and charge.

Yes but the way it was worded was that we would be able to put them on the vehicle visualizer. Not view a pdf that just shows one color car

GMPP warranty is normally 12/12 but GM announced these parts if dealer installed would be covered under the bumper to bumper and if not would be 12/12.

The SRI normally includes a calibration flash.

I have not had a problem with warranty coverage as long as it was for something not affected by an aftermarket part. As an example, I had a Vortech supercharger installed on my last Cavalier, and warranty continued for non affected parts.
